Going delirious! ADVICE!? HELP!?

I am almost due with my little boy(3-4 more weeks), and I have hit the no sleep phase. I am a busy pregnant mom, I work a ton of hours, coach soccer, and chase a 19 month old around as well as tend to my almost 13 year old. I literally can not get comfortable no matter what. No left or right side. Do you think a recliner (think lazy boy) would be safe to sleep in? Technically I wouldn't be sleeping on my back. If I dint get some sleep soon I am going to be in the loonie bin!!Going delirious! ADVICE!? HELP!?
I think it would work great for you, you'll have to try it. Frankly, blood flow can't improve if the mother can't breathe.

I also think it would be fine if you called in pregnant for some of these things. You don't have to do everything - you're making your own people! Let somebody who's not pregnant do it.Going delirious! ADVICE!? HELP!?
I'm relaxing in my La-Z Boy right now and I had been wondering the same thing. I took a few little naps in it but haven't slept in it overnight.

Usually they tell you not to sleep on your back because its restricts bloodflow, your left side provides the best bloodflow. I think if you are only slightly reclined (more upright) it should be okay, but if you recline fully it would be the same as sleeping on your back. However, some people sleep on their backs while pregnant and are fine so maybe you should give it a shot? Its important for you to sleep! If you're really concerned call your midwife or OB GYN. :)
I slept in the lazy boy / recliner during the last 4 months of my second pregnancy because my boy got so big inside me....I could not sleep comfortably on the bed. Quit soccer until after the baby is born...your 13 year old should be able to do most of the thing that she / he needs. You need rest and the health of the baby inside you is much more important!
i slept on my back all the time when i was pregnant. the doctor told me that as long as the baby still moved regularly and there was no sharp pains that i would be fine.
