Help! Aluminum rims won't hold air in cold weather, any advice or product to use?

I have been told that 2 of the Rims are bent , PepBoys has placed a substance that helps hold the tires, but they keep leaking. I am sick of filling tires and aluminum rims are 700.00 unless I switch to steel rims.Help! Aluminum rims won't hold air in cold weather, any advice or product to use?
Bent rims don't leak. Your problem is very likely white death or aluminum corrosion. Aluminum wheels are notorious for this, they corrode with a flour like calcium substance that attacks the bead seal. The only way to fix it is to have a reputable shop de-mount all the tires, wire brush the corrosion off the bead area of the rim and remount the clean and well lubed tires back on (using a non water based bead paste...like Murphys). And replacing the valve stem and cleaning it's bore is essential as well. Good luck, I had to fight with shops to do a good job on aluminum wheels...I finally got fed up and bought my own tire changer ';/Help! There is a rubber like treatment applyed to the inside of the rims. This helps the tires adhere to it and stop rim leaks.

You need to submerge the tires filled with air to find the leak.

There could be bent rims that need to be trued to stop the leaking.

The other possible problem is a valve charlie. That is where the schrader valve leaks. The valves are always changed with new tires. The easy way to check is to spray a liquid over the valves with no cap on them. It will buble up if there is a leak. Valve charlies are usaully very slow leaks.
Has anybody looked yet to see where the leaks are coming from?

I've seen rims that are cracked leak too!

Aluminum rims are great for oxidizing around the bead seat and can be fixed by breakin the tire down, cleaning the corrosion and resealing the bead!

Bent rims can cold air, find the leaks and fix 'em!
Need new rims. Sorry.
