-OliviaI need some advice/help with skateboarding.?
the problem most people have is that people try to explain it in like 4 steps when there really needs to be alot more so
In as much detail as I can possibly explain it in
1. Stand on your skateboard natural stance
2. Move you front foot behind the front bolts (farther back the higher potential of the ollie but will be harder it is to control.)
3. Point your front foot forward slightly so its in a comfortable position
4. Your back foot should be on the tip of the tail also in a comfortable position. The edge of your shoe should be rite at the edge of the tail, try to line your foot up with the curve of the tail.
5. Shift most of your weight to your back foot while keeping the board completely stable
6. Now bend down for a bit, and then jump up, mainly off your back foot. As you jump, your back foot should push the tail down hard.
7. The tail should hit the ground hard causing it to bounce back up (this is called a pop) make the pop strong, hard, and fast. Done correctly the board will already be in the air. if its not then nothing else matters
8. Your feet should be in the air over the board. With the board at a 65-85掳 angle to the ground and now about a 1/2-1in. in the air from the pop alone
9. Now to get height, roll your front foot onto its side a bit so that the side of the sole of your shoe (not the whole side of your shoe just the sole) is in contact with the grip tape and slide it forward to the front bolts (this will add height and even out the board at the same time).
10. Keeping your shoulders and your body straight while still in the air, bring both your knees up preferable all the way up to your chest (but that will take practice). This will give the board room to get higher.
11. Lean forward just a bit throughout the Ollie to keep from landing in a manual.
12. After the skateboard reaches its peak height, Start to straighten your legs abit to bring the board down
13.Bend your knees once more to absorb the impact of the landing as soon as the wheel touch the ground.
Skating is all about practice, dedication, and commitment. It鈥檒l take time u wont land it rite away
The key is to take all these steps and combined them into almost one smooth motion.
Also you should search youtube for aronl how to ollie a video would be able to explain it better than just a bunch of words. Make sure its by aronl, hes a great teacher and will show u some examples in slow-mo.
I hope this helps you. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or comments.I need some advice/help with skateboarding.?
