I am 25 years old and I'm confused about my periods. I'm under a lot of stress, a lot of the time. I'm in school, my mom and dad both have medical problems that put them in the hospital at times, I'm involved a lot in school and I'm getting married(but not for another year and a half)...plus I have an anxiety disorder.
I'm wondering if all the stress is making my periods act weird. Sometimes they'll come a day or 2 early, sometimes they'll be 4-5 days late and then they'll come around the normal time but only last a day and a half. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had these problems. Thank you. Unusual period. Any advice/help?
Definitely, stress is a huge contributor that effects when your period comes and if it is regular or not. This is probably all due to the stress. There were times when I got stress out and didn't get my period for weeks at a times when it was due. Nothing to really worry about when it needs to happen it will happen. I hope everything starts to go better for you I know how hard it can be sometimes i just lost my grandpa earlier this summer and now my other grandpa has colon cancer and my aunt was just re-diagnosed with breast cancer and it isn't expected to go well. I wish you the best and hope all goes well for you and your loved ones.Unusual period. Any advice/help?
Stress can definitely be a huge factor in your cycles. However, I have Endometriosis, its not a disease in the normal sense, more of a condition and it's pretty common. My periods would be so random, I just started carrying tampons with me all the time. You should talk with your doctor about the possibilities. I was 20 when they discovered it, but my flows also became increasingly heavy.. not sure if that is an issue with you or not.
Yes, stress plays a huge role in your menstrual cycle. It's normal for them to be irregular if you're under a lot of stress (same thing happens to me). Read 'The Garden of Fertility', it helped me in understanding more about my cycle.
stress can cause periods to disappear or act up. I would guess that's probably it, but you should probably ask your doctor to be sure.
Hysterectomy. That'll do it.
