Bankruptcy question need advice?help please?

Im 19 been on my own for something like 4 or five years, I finally got a bank account and kept it in good standing, after I lost my job and apartment due to a messy split with my boyfriend, I moved outta town to stay with a friend i have no job so im going back to school part time to get my diploma, the thing is in december 08 I withdrew 60 dollars more than I had, this has happened before but this time i couldn't pay it back, so its been racking up im scared to even look. I talked breifly with the bank they said too much time has passed and I cant get the overdraft taken off.

My question is what where and how do i get this off my back, is bankruptcy the answer. I would like to be able to move back to town and get a new apartment but who would give me one when i owe tons of money to the bank...help pleaseBankruptcy question need advice?help please?
Wow, you've been through more than most your age.

Great to see you are trying to get things back on track and be responsible.

You can't file bankruptcy for overdraft/NSF bank fees.

Unfortunately all you can do is work with them to pay it.

First thing you need to do is find out what the balance owed is.

You will have the overdraft charge, the amount of the charge itself ($60 in this case) and perhaps other applicable fees depending on the bank.

Of course there is the snowball effect that for every transaction thereafter will also have the above applied.

For example;

$100 in bank.

Used card for $160.

-$60 balance

-$30 overdraft fee

Now -$90 balance

Used card for $10

-$100 balance

-$30 overdraft fee

Now -$130 balance

And so on...

So yes, you have no choice but to call and ask what you owe and see if they can mail you a print-out so you can make arrangements to pay it back in payments.

If you don't do this, they can and very well may take legal steps for the money owed and you would have a judgment on your credit. (very bad)

It isn't the end of the world. It's just a splinter. :)

You can only do what you are able, but that is better than ignoring it when you know it won't 'go away'.

Hope this helps and good luck!Bankruptcy question need advice?help please?
the simple thing would be get a part time job and make payment's. Do you really want on you life for 10 year's that you filled that for one silly bill. Also get the bank to close your account. They should have done that already with so much time passed.

two way's to make money. One sell some of you stuff you can buy it back, or just don't need it.

two is donate plasma. I do that and make 240 a month. It's the only job I need. Best of all it tax free.

but really don't do that it seems stuppied.
