My advice is to continue volunteering and observing, both with animals and with children, until you see a job that you would like. Then, find out what kind of degree you would need to get that job. I wish I had done more observing of the career-world both before and during college, because I ended up in a career that didn't suit me. Also, one of my friends who also thought she wanted to work with people ended up working in a lab (her degree was in something totally different). Just find the career field you want, then you can see the jobs out there and what they require.Animal Career Decision - I Need Some Advice/Help?
Well, you could very well be an animal education program and teach children the proper way to treat pets and animals.
Or you could do something like what I want to do when I leave school. You could train dogs! Woo! You could be a proffessional dog trainer, and go to peoples houses to fix behavioural problems and stuff You could make a business and teach tricks to dogs, or train guide dogs or something. I think something like animal behaviour (it has a few different names) is a subject you can study at uni for animal training.
You could work at a zoo if you really wanted, as a tour guide or as a person-that-feeds-animals.
Or you could continue to work with kids and just do animals as a side-hobby.
Good luck.
