I NEED dating advice?!! HELP!?

Ok, im 15, and im not the real ';educated'; when it comes to dating, or women for that matter. Ive been interested in this one girl at school, and some of my friends said that they've known that we'd make a good couple. However, my one friend, she is BEST friends with the one girl i want to date. And my friend went on about how it would make herself (and others) feel Awkward, she went on and on about how, if she Rejects me, it would be hard for me to face her anymore... OK, im NOT a smart person, but im pretty sure that if you get a NO, its DOES NOT mean that you NEVER have to talk to that person again, i dont get it,...whats wrong with getting rejected...??

HERE IS OUT EXACT CONVERSATION, BETWEEN MY FRIEND AND I:

(I blocked out the names with the astric****)

FRIEND:

so, don't ask someone out for awhile

ME:

ok, specifially, if i were to ask ***** out, is that a bad idea

FRIEND

yes

you

you'll get hurt

annd make things awkward for me

and her

and yourself

ME:

ah.

i see

may i ask why, why would it make it UN-comfortable

FRIEND:

huh?

ME:

why would it be Awkward for all of us

FRIEND:

you: seeing her after a no would suck for you

her: after turning down a guy, its hard to face them

me: shes my best friend.. and you'd think i have an influence on her opinion because of itI NEED dating advice?!! HELP!?
alright, girls usually have intuition about this kind of stuff, and if they say you'll get hurt, i would listen. Now, you could do what you wish and ask out this girl, not get rejected and things would work out. But you might piss off your friend which would end badly, but if you want to make that sacrifice for a girl you like, that's your choice.

I would really just listen to this friend, because i personally believe friendship is more important than relationship with girl at 15. Do whatever you want though, take a chance if you want, or play it safe. Either your best friend is afraid for you, or there is the off chance she does not want you to date this girl because of jealousy...? unlikely however and more probable, she is just looking out for you.
