My friend needs some advice help!!!!?

my friend is due in 3 weeks and she has only gone to 1 doctor vist since she found out she has preg,(found out at 5 mts.) due to the cost and her private ins. dnt cove materinaty.....so she afraid that child service is going to take the baby when hes born will that happen she has been soing everything right and her ultra sound shows he is a very healthy babyMy friend needs some advice help!!!!?
They won't take the baby for that. You are entitled to refuse any medical care that you don't want and maternity care is under that too. They will only take the baby if when it's born has drugs in its system.My friend needs some advice help!!!!?
you know it doesnt matter if she is doing everything right, you always need to see a doc during your pregnancy, there could be something wrong with her, the baby just anything. diabetes, birth defects, to much amniotic fluid, ect...to many complications now a days to not see a doc the whole pregnancy. I think she should have tried to get help from medicaid or anything health department. its just not good to go. hopefully everything goes alright with the child services and stuff, im not sure what would go on with that though
i guess it depends on the state you live in! i don't really know! I know my sister didn't get to the dr until she was about 5 months, but she went to all her appt after that...so I'm not sure!


But i do think that it is important for prenatal care...regardless!


Anyone who can't afford or doesn't have maternity ins can get it from Job and family services so there is really no reason she has no ins for this! is there????


I am glad her baby is healthy, i hope all goes well with her delivery and baby stays healthy!!!!

Unless there is more to the story than you are telling, your friend is worried over nothing. The state has enough babies to take care off without keeping a list of who was naughty and nice with their pre-natal care planning. If her house is clean, she has food in the cabinets, no drugs, drug dealers or other felons in the house and no one is beating/starving the kid, she should be fine.
I would hope that her baby wouldn't be taken because some people don't believe in going to doctors. However, I think your friend should have been more responsible. She could have gone to a clinic.
There has to be more to it than that. Why would the child service take baby...what is the baby going to show/drugs when it is born...are you under age?
go to jpb and family services and get a medical card and when the baby is born, he/she will be covered until age 19
